Screen-Free Summer Week Challenge

Screen Free Summer Week

Here are 1000 Hours Outside we are all about balance! Screens certainly are fine in moderation and they offer some amazing learning benefits and beyond.

That said, we have teamed up with a few of our friends to put out a Screen Free Summer Week Challenge… a week where you go entirely screen free! In our household, I’ve always dreamed of being screen-free but instead we have certain times set aside for screens, Saturday mornings for instance. We are excited and intrigued to go an entire week without using screens at all.

One thing I’ve always found that helps to decrease screen-time is to fill life with other worthwhile things and so that’s what we will be doing. Please join in the challenge! Print out the FREE printable below. Track your progress and record any memorable moments. Choose one week between now and Labor Day (or September 21st technically) and join us on this little adventure!

Be sure to check out:

Tanglewood Hollow, a company that helps you build stronger connections with the natural world,

Splay Athletics, the perfect shoe for kids, and

Rachel Wolf, messy, authentic, magical life.
